Kerber's has been offering top quality products and service for over 50 years. Our ice cream has received local, state, and national awards. We are a full-scale dairy - processing our own milk products and using the fresh cream to make our premium ice cream. Last summer (2010) we opened an 18-hole mini golf course.
Our facility has expanded its family attraction – now includes year-round tubing. We have two 400-ft tubing runs which include a People-Mover to return the riders back to the top. How long have you been in business?
The Kerber family opened their 1st store in 1961.
What is your primary product or service?
Dairy products, especially our own premium ice cream. The ice cream has received national, state, and local honors. We also offer a hot lunch Monday through Friday. Our high quality deli products are cut to each customer's specifications and are always fresh. Our many flavors of Kerber teas are our customers' favorites.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The Kerber family, headed by Edward and Alvina Kerber, operated a dairy farm in the 1950's. In 1991, Tom Kerber and his family took over operation of the dairy store.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are family-owned. We take pride in providing the BEST and highest quality products to our customers.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have the main facility on the original Kerber Farm in North Huntingdon (1856 Guffey Road). We also provide our ice cream to numerous wholesale accounts in Allegheny, Fayette, and Westmoreland Counties.

Kerber's is owned and operated by the Thomas L. Kerber Family.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm in the winter at the Guffey Road store every day except Christmas. At that location, we have limited hours on some holidays. Hours vary according to the season. We are open longer in the warmer weather.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
We cater to our customers and try to provide a family-friendly atmosphere. Whenever our customers come back with their extended families, we feel that our family has grown! We enjoy being with them.
